ATTILA'S FIGHT FOR INDEPENDENCE My name is Jeremy and I am Attila's old schoolmate from Mazenod College (We were class of 1983). Here's what happened... Attila has always been an independent man who has supported and raised a loving family with his wife. With 3 beautiful children, his oldest boy being Arryn Siposs, the former AFL player from the St Kilda Football club, Attila now faces an uncertain future. You see... Attila has lost the ability to use his legs to walk without assistance due to a rare spinal bone infection called Vertebral Osteomyelitis. Can you imagine the stress and hardship that accompanies this circumstance? Not to mention the affect on mental health too. His ability to move around the house is very limited. "I have lost the ability to use my legs to walk without assistance and therefore require an electric wheelchair or mobility scooter." says Attila. Attila contracted a rare bone infection in his spine which has impacted his nervous system and left him without the use of his legs. Attila is a proud and independent man and has always worked very hard during his career to support his wife and children. But now - this great man needs our help! Attila can remain independent if he gets an electric wheelchair or mobility scooter. But... Over the last year, costly medical expenses to treat this rare illness have put extreme pressure on the household budget. It's a critical time for Attila now. If he gets an electric wheelchair or mobility scooter soon he will remain independent and can then continue to support his family. >> Will you help Attila to fight for his independence? ABOUT Vertebral Osteomyelitis: Rare Spinal Infection Vertebral Osteomyelitis is a bone infection usually caused by bacteria. In the spine, it is often found in the vertebrae, although the infection can spread into the epidural and intervertebral disc spaces. Osteomyelitis is rare and most common in young children and the elderly, but it can occur at any age. If you experience symptoms of osteomyelitis, you should seek immediate medical treatment. Seeing your doctor as soon as possible is important to help prevent potentially permanent and life-altering nerve damage (such as paralysis). This is now too late for Attila. "This condition is affecting my mental health as my ability to move around is very limited. This is why I desperately need a mobility scooter or electric wheelchair." "Please help me to remain independent. Any assistance will be greatly appreciated." Yours sincerely, Attila

Dear Attila, You Make A Difference!!! I know for a fact, most people that live healthy lives, have no understanding of what it is like to have a health challenge that affects them physically, mentally or both. I hope this donation inspires other to help make a difference for you.
