Water - The Source of all Life

What is the purpose of the fundraising? Now here's the story:

Water is one source of life necessities for living things, and of course animals are no exception. At our Sanctuary in Tabanan, there are many of our furry friends who need water for the survival and comfort of their lives. It's just because the PDAM (government water works) does not enter the lane there, BARC uses ground water. But in the past few weeks, our water source has experienced drought and we have been forced to move to make boreholes in other locations.

BARC Sanctuary is surrounded by rice fields using the Subak system (irrigation system in Bali). By collaborating with the local Village / Subak we made a new drill well. The cost for making these drill wells requires 1 million IDR per 1 meter inside ($100 AUD), while the required depth is 55 meters. So the BARC funds need 55 million IDR ($5,500 AUD). At present BARC has managed to raise funds of 15 million IDR ($1,500 AUD)... still lacking 40 million IDR ($4,000 AUD) more.

It is our hope that this fund will quickly accumulate so that the water in our Sanctuary will run smoothly and of course our furry friends and local people will get decent water sources.
