In the last two weeks, PNG teachers had significant cuts to their salaries with some receiving as little as PGK7.00 (AUD$2.96) in a fortnight's pay. Some have not been paid in months. GOPNG has offered the usual obfuscatory excuses without actually improving teacher remuneration. Teachers do essential work, in PNG, often in tough conditions, on low wages and with limited resources and assistance. While we cannot alleviate their salary grievances completely, we can help with assistance to help them meet their daily living expenses. All donations are welcome and appreciated.
