Food poisoning - take it seriously is the theme for our summer education campaign for 2018-19. 2018 has been a horror year for food poisoning with the Listeria outbreak linked to Australian rockmelons earlier this year resulted in 6 tragic deaths and a woman miscarrying; this was followed by a recall of imported frozen vegetables which was linked to 47 listeriosis cases and 9 deaths in Europe. We are currently operating as a volunteer organisation without any operational grant or major funding. At the same time we are having to cope with concerned consumers making enquiries and running our important education campaigns on how to reduce your risk of food poisoning. Help us keep operating by making a tax deductable charity donation and why not share your story about how a bout of food poisoning affected your life.
