On behalf of Bandit and Family thankyou everyone for a very successful Campaign since September 2018 to assist us raise legal funds and also funds to purchase a dog enclosure for Bandit. We have the dog run but the Council still refuse to release Bandit. We raised $4205!! We were back in QCAT yesterday in the Brisbane CBD for a 90 minute Directions Hearing with the QCAT President Justice Daubney. The Council came with two Barristers and two Lawyers. Its a joke for ratepayers!! Unfortunately the matter has now been in QCAT since November 2017 and the Scenic Rim Regional Council have refused access since October 2017. They continue to breach the Animal Management Act and Animal Protection Act. The sad thing is that no one really cares....especially the RSPCA.I raised access with the QCAT President and they then questioned whether they have jurisdiction to direct the Council to allow us to exercise him. So its not a great situation. We were referred to QCAT by the District Court. The matter is being managed in QCAT now by three different Members and the President who is a Supreme Court Justice. The Council claim he is healthy but supply no photos only 1 page form letters from a vet who says he has to look in from outside. As a result we will be reactivating and refining our claim in the QLD District Court. Yesterday the President accepted our Contempt Claim against the Council and others which is based on the fact the Council have continued to mislead QCAT and also release inaccurate information to complete strangers when the matter is on foot in QCAT. So today we will close this MY CAUSE as we will be looking at some different strategies. Thankyou so much for your comments, love,concern and action in the form of donations. We visited Bandit and left him some gifts ( from outside) The Council continue to block access and will not even provide a photo We are back in QCAT in February. Thanks for your ongoing support We want him home.

Thanks so much everyone We remain in QCAT Thank God the heat has gone today. He will love the cool weather. The Scenic Rim Regional Council continue to refuse access which is unlawful and a breach of S 129 of the Animal Management Act.

Thankyou so much for your donations it is helping our legal bills. We remain in QCAT and thanks to your help have requested a "reopening" of a Hearing that took place on 8 October 2018 without us. Our Barrister prepared submissions on the "reopening" and these were filed with QCAT on 13 November 2018. Yes eventhough we advised that we had never been served with the Scenic Rim Regional Council evidence since November 2017 the Hearing progressed which obviously is a very serious procedural fairness issue. Bandit is now going into his second summer of intense heat. This week we have again submitted submissions supporting "immediate" access to BANDIT as the Council have refused access since 14 October 2017 which is unlawful as per the Animal Management Act. S 129. The Council continue to purposefully delay the matters resolution by lodging unsupported claims of us being served with documents when in fact this week QCAT ruled that we had not been served. We really appreciate your support and Mr Bandit is obviously very uncomfortable yet vocal about the unlawful conditions he continues to be subjected to by a QLD Government entity.

Thankyou everyone for your ongoing support. We have engaged a new Lawyer and Barrister over the last 2 weeks thanks to everyones assistance. Our Barrister is very experienced and she is now running the matter. I met with her yesterday. Please think of our Bandit today as it will be around 40 degrees in the filthy Scenic Rim pound today. Bandit would be suffering immensely from the heat waves we have been experiencing this summer, it's his 2nd summer spent locked in a 1.2sqm enclosure with no family allowed to visit him. Bandit's story is one of the worst cases of animal neglect by a Queensland Local Government I have ever witnessed and it needs to change. No Local Government should have the right to do this to an innocent animal or their family.
