On the 31st October 2014 I was diagnosed with Breast Cancer. The tumor was aggressive as was my treatment & by New Years Eve my hair had started falling out. This was just another emotional hurdle I had to overcome & I can only imagine how hard it would be for a child to go through the trauma of losing their hair. I have been fortunate enough for my hair to grow back beautifully, but I am now in need of a haircut. So what better way to pay it forward than to donate my hair to Variety so they can turn it into a WIG for a child, in order to help them a little with the emotional side effects of Cancer. I am also making this a fundraiser to help raise funds for Blush Cancer Care, where all money raised will aide Breast Cancer patients on the Darling Downs. The big chop will take place at the end of October with an onsite auction, the highest donor on the day will have the honour of chopping off my locks. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
