Hey guys, Alex Hayes here, influencer and content creator hailing from my favorite place in the world, Sydney Australia. For those of you that know me, you've probably heard me talk about my entry in the Molokai race. This race is the hardest paddle board race in the world that consists of paddling from the island of Molokai to the island of Oahu. I am competing in this race as a team with my good friend Fletcher Davies. This race will have me testing and pushing my abilities passed anything I've done before, all in an effort to set an example to others to go outside of our comfort zones and push ourselves in a healthy direction. More importantly, I'm doing this race to raise awareness for a cause that's near and dear to my heart, namely mental health awareness in teens. As content creators and influencers we have a responsibility to our audiences, many of which are teens, to lead by example and embrace everyone for who they are and consistently strive to be the best versions of ourselves. Not only is this important to me but I recently lost a friend to mental health issues and decided that I wanted to use my voice to make a difference to help others. I can't do this alone, and you too can join in this movement to help bring awareness and solutions for teens dealing with mental health issues around the world by donating anything that you can to this cause. All funds raised will go directly to batyr, which is an Australian based non-profit dedicated to helping better mental health amongst teens by addressing the elephant in the room. So many people are avoiding this topic because it's not something we can physically see but it is still very much present. These negative stigmas need to be addressed and advocated for and it starts with us coming together collectively to make a difference. Every dollar counts. If you can't afford to make a donation, that is ok. Please do your part by reaching out to a friend to see how they are doing. Let's make a difference together! Thank you
