Cambodia Tour Fundraising

During September this year, my mum and I will be travelling to Cambodia with the Rustic Pathways organisation to assist in a house building project which helps to support marginalised families in their communities.

Rustic Pathways has been operating programs in Cambodia for well-over 10 years. One of our main community partners is Buddhism for Social Development Action (BSDA) to support educational opportunities for children living in the Kampong Cham region. BSDA provides services for women, children and marginalized members of the community in areas of education, health and income generation. The students and parents from PLC will be supporting the BSDA through Rustic Pathway’s house building project. Our group will be building six houses (from the ground up!) for the families of children who are the recipients of BSDA’s educational scholarships. These families are some of the most marginalized members of their communities and will benefit enormously from your support. 100% of the fundraising money goes directly towards building 6 houses by helping to pay for the materials and local labour.

If the fundraising target is exceeded, surplus money may be used to help the following things:
• Education sponsorships for students
• Ongoing welfare support for housing recipients
• Construction of additional houses (after PLC depart)
• Contribution to other BSDA projects in Kampong Cham communities
• Donation to other Rustic Pathways Foundation projects
