In April 2015, Tim, Gaynor and I drove a single cylinder auto-rickshaw or tuk-tuk 3000 km across India as part of the Rickshaw Run charity fundraiser. The trip took us from Jaislamer in the far west of India to Shillong in the East. The trip took 13 days and was a life changing experience...
Well, we're at it again. This time Tim and I are going to attempt to complete the second ever running of the Rickshaw Run Himalaya. We have only 7 days to drive 1000 km from Leh to Shimla, which is across the back of the incredible Kashmir - Jammu region. Part of the trip includes the second highest driveable mountain pass in the world, at 5400 mt.
The event guarantees to be spectacular, scenic and just a tad on the dangerous side. The event aims to raise money for Cool Earth, a charity that works most in the Amazon area of South America. All money raised from the mycause website will go directly to the charity.
Like the last run, we will have webupdates as we go, wherever we have an internet connection that is! For anymore information, or to sponsor us in other ways, please contact me through either facebook or on my mobile. Hope to see some of you get on board!!
Good luck mate! Enjoy the drive
