Raising funds for: Kate Isaacs
After the tragic and sudden death of David Isaacs it is necessary for Kate, Sam 10, Zara 8 and Ella 5 to sell their home to enable them to move closer to Kate's Mum and the children’s schools. To do this Kate and David’s house needs to be finished so it can be put on the market. To help raise the much needed funds a group of 8 local ocean swimmers will undertake the Big Swim 4 Dave. A 7.5km swim from Ocean Beach to Station Beach (nr Palm Beach). Two of the team will undertake the full 7.5km and the remaining 6 will relay swim the distance. The teams will be supported by Ocean Beach Surf Life Saving Club, Kayak Central Coast and Jimmy Foyel. David’s community involvement was wide spread. An Ocean Beach SLSC member, Blue Swimmer, the Entrance Water Polo Club – The Mighty Ducks - former president and flipper ball coach, an ocean swims competitor, keen Tigers supporter, musician and much more! David can't be there for Kate and his children; to support them as they grow up and be the protector of Sam who has autism. But his community can........ Help us to help Kate and the kids.

I'd like to give Louise Lambeth and the other ocean swimmers, volunteer support crew and supporters so many thanks for this incredible fete; swimming from Ocean Beach, across Lion Island to Palm Beach. You are all amazing, the swimmers have trained hard and Louise has worked tirelessly; we are blessed as a family to be the subject of your efforts. The day could not have been more perfect, and you have created fabulous memories for my children x The fabulous memory stone was supplied by Lois Young.

Some of the swim team and Ocean Beach Life Savers will be out and about on Saturday to promote the swim ..... you will find us at Woy Woy's Deep Water Plaza between 9 and 2pm and we should also be at the Peninsula Leisure Centre between 8am and 11am. The Big Swim 4 Dave has swim has been postponed to next Sunday 6/5. Consultations with OBSLSC and Marine Rescue Central Coast have determined that the ocean conditions are too rough especially for the relay swimmers who would be required to enter and exit the launch in rough swells. Low visibility in the water is also a concern. The plus side is that next Sunday is looking good weather and conditions! An extra week for fundraising will be helpful.
