This is my first year taking part in the city to bay in Adelaide. I have been on a fitness journey this year and have been working on myself and making myself proud.
I have decided to raise money while completing the city to bay, I chose Australian BPD foundation, because they are a great charity that give support and advice to families and friends that know a person with BPD.
Every day is different with BPD, no day is the same and I don't think people really understand BPD and the sigma surrounding BPD and metal health. My goal is to raise awareness and funds for BPD.
The VISION of the foundation is to encourage a positive culture around BPD and the ready availability and accessibility of appropriate services for people with BPD and those that care for them. The MISSION of the foundation is to promote a positive culture to support the recovery journey of people with BPD and their families/carers. The Foundation also supports clinicians, health care personnel and researchers working in this field and acknowledges everyone who works towards a better recognition of BPD
Funds donated to the My cause Gift Fund will be disbursed to Australian BPD Foundation. The trustees will always disburse funds to the nominated cause, however in the case that that is not possible, the funds will be disbursed to a DGR charity at the trustees discretion.
