MiVote Powered Candidates for Victorian State Election - Nov 2018

Support the coming revolution in democracy!

This is the first official Australian campaign for the MiVote movement. Campaigns are active or upcoming in 12 other countries.

MiVote is a direct democracy solution for the 21st century based on block chain technology. It's a policy direction making tool, engineered to tap into the the powerful decision making potential of a well informed public.

MiVote powered candidates are a new breed of politician. If elected, they are contractually bound to deliver legislation aligned with the MiVote platform and the communities it represents. They are prevented from taken corporate or vested interest money. They are limited to a maximum of two terms in an elected office. For more information please visit mivote.org.au.

We are aiming to get multiple candidates elected to Victorian parliament. Momentum from this campaign will flow directly to our campaigns for the NSW state election in March 2019 and the Australian federal election later in 2019. It will also contribute to the momentum of the global MiVote revolution.

Where the funds will go
- Street signage, how-to-vote cards, flyers and other advertising
- Cost of registration of political party 'MiVote Powered Candidates' with the Victorian Electoral Commission ($711)
- Modest stipends for the core campaign team to cover some of their living costs while working full time in the lead up to the election.

A successful political campaign requires a dedicated team and we aim to fill the following roles by June 2018:
- Campaign director
- Volunteer co-ordinator
- Media and digital communications manager
