In November 2017, my family got the news their husband, father, son, brother, me at 33 has MND. What do you do with that?
This page is about my family - my wife Anna and my adorable kids Emma aged 5 and James who is just 2. Creating as many long lasting memories while we can.
Ideally we'd love to experience the typical Queensland family holiday - sun, surf and adventure at Australia Zoo and the theme parks.
Thank you for your support in helping us get there!
Motor Neurone Disease, commonly referred to as MND or ALS (Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) is a progressive neurological disease for which the cause and cure are yet to be identified. MND is very confronting for everyone involved and the details of the disease are grim. The disease has many forms and progresses differently among its victims. Typically people with MND progressively lose the use of their limbs, the ability to speak, to swallow and breathe; their mind and senses remain intact. Once diagnosed the average life expectancy is 2-3yrs.
