The fitfam at F45 Training Moorabbin will throw their weight behind a challenging fundraiser for beyondblue next month in a bid to help raise awareness about mental health issues.
F45 members, staff, family and friends will take turns pushing a 50kg sled up and down a 20-metre track for 24 hours from Friday, Feb 23rd, at the Moorabbin studio, 144 Cochranes Road, Moorabbin.
The challenge will start at 7pm on Friday the 23rd and finish at 7pm the next day, with more than 50 participants expected to share the load. All money raised will go to beyondblue.
Depression and anxiety touches everyones life at some stage. Three million Australians are currently experiencing anxiety or depression. Every day, nearly eight people take their own lives.
The goal of beyondblue is to equip everyone in Australia with the knowledge and skills to protect their own mental health, as well as giving people the confidence to support those around them, and making anxiety, depression and suicide part of everyday conversations.
And as well as tackling stigma, prejudice and discrimination, they're breaking down the barriers that prevent people from speaking up and reaching out.
With your help, the studio aims to raise $10,000. While a serious cause, the event itself will have a party-like atmosphere, with a DJ in-house as well as spot prizes for members and food and drinks to be supplied throughout the night.
Please dig deep, every dollar counts.
