On Tuesday in Kumbia and surrounding towns (near Kingaroy QLD) the area was smashed with very wild weather causing a lot of damage and debris to many rural properties.
My brother Harley resides with his young family in Kumbia. The storm saw a lot of trees and material thrown around his property and approx. 80mm water inundated the inside of their cottage home they live in.
Harley is not aware (yet) that I am putting this request for help out. I understand it's just after Christmas and times are tough for many. But I couldn't sit and do nothing, the photos are devastating. If you're able to help at all to donate any funds, or even local help to remove rubbish, donate linen or good condition furniture it would be very sincerely appreciated.
Any money raised will go towards helping clean up and rebuild around his home, purchasing new towels, linen for beds and to source furniture once clean up is done. The first thing they need besides a dry bed is once the weather is clear to get a bobcat in there. If anyone is able to help locally with this that would be awesome.
Thank you in advance for taking time to read and any help you can provide; if anything please share this to reach others who may be able to help. Any help is much appreciated.
