It's been nearly 8 years since my son Andrew (my only child) was killed in a car crash. Since then, as well as the huge trauma and grief, PTSD and being unable to work, I've had no life direction or motivation.
In March 2016, i went for a trip up to PNG (with members of my family), to where i grew up. This was the first time I'd been back since i was 14/15 and i loved every minute of my time there. I came home with a strong feeling that I'd like to go back and help in the school
The place i call home is Kusambuk, and my brother Phil Spence is taking a team of workers up in April next year and he said "they need teachers at the school". It is ALL VOLUNTEER and the team will include nurses to provide some health care while we're there.
Yay, that's for me i said!
So begins a new journey for me which includes direction, passion and motivation, feeling very grateful :-)
I haven't been able to work since my son's death so the only way I can do this is with your help. I'm so grateful for your generosity and in return I'll be making a picture e-book for you all to enjoy :-)
Thank you xo
