Jewish News Advertisement For Marriage Equality

Dear friends,
I've got an amazing update for you: an anonymous donor has come forward to cover the cost of the ads in this week's Jewish News and that means all the funds we've raised will go to the Equality Campaign!
With $10,058 raised from 198 people we've done an extraordinary job in just four days of raising the profile of marriage equality in the Jewish community and showing support for LGBTIQ+ people.
We've also been able to keep the campaign open until midnight tonight so we still have time to add a few more names to the list, and a few more dollars to the Equality Campaign to help them get as many "yes" votes as possible.

This has been an amazing collective effort, something I'm so proud to be part of. What a great message of tolerance and inclusion to send from the Jewish community.

We did it!
Let's get as many names as possible on the list! Every dollar above $7,000 goes to the Equality Campaign to get as many "yes" votes as possible.

We're so close now!
After 36 hours and 121 contributions, we're just $179 away from our $7,000 target.
But even as we get close to hitting our target so we can run these ads in the Jewish News, there's a deeper impact we're trying to achieve.
We want to show our LGBT+ friends and family that we support them and the yes vote.
So I want to get as many names on this ad as possible. We're at 121 now, imagine if we could get to 200? Or even 250! What a powerful message that would be!
We'll be finalising the ads over the weekend and I'll share them with you as soon as I can.
In the meantime, please keep sharing the campaign. Even after we hit the funding target it will be amazing to keep the contributions rolling and get as many names on the list as possible. The more names we get, the more impactful the ads will be.
(We'll be donating any spare funds to the Equality Campaign, the national campaign to win marriage equality for all Australians, to help them get as many "yes" votes posted as possible.)
So post the petition with your friends on Facebook one last time and let's get this over the line!

Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far – we're half way there!
We've raised more than $3,700 from 70 people: It's a great start and e're going to start drafting an advertisement and working with the Jewish News to get it in front of their readers next week.
** But our work isn't done yet! ** We have to hit the target by Sunday night to make sure we meet the Jewish News deadline! **
We still have lots of sharing to go. Not only does each dollar get us closer to our target, but each name on the ad is another name that our LGBT+ friends and family can see supporting them and the push towards marriage equality.
Let's not let this week's hateful and harmful Jewish News ad be the last word. Make sure you share this on email, Facebook and Twitter so we can get over the line.
