Destiney's horse sanctuary

To all my horsey and non-horsey people.
I'm now set out on the next chapter of my life. I have been planing this since I was a small child, when a horse deemed dangerous saved me.

Avoiding all details that maybe confronting for some.
My birth mother was a addict, and due to her addiction she lost sight of who she was as a person and a mother. At that stage in my young life, my birth parents rented the house/homestead on a fully operating farm. There was a horse put off in pasture to live out his last years. He was old, skittish, blind in both eyes (one naturally, the other was removed after a tree branch situation). He was deemed dangerous and aggressive.

One day things at home got out of control as my "birth mother" hit another low or high (to young to remember those details, as for me she was always "politely put" off in her own world). I ran away that day, determined to find somewhere safe. I ran into the pasture, then straight into the shed like paddock cover where this big giant was laying. I nestled my self into him and cried myself to sleep. Later that evening my father had returned home from work (chef) noticing I was missing he had contacted the farm staff to help search for me.

They found me huddled up asleep based at the front of the horse between his legs and chest. They had two given options.. leave me with the horse or shoot the horse. My dad refused to have them shoot him with me laying in a easy spot to be squished. My "birth mother" had tried to enter the paddock to remove me, when the horse rose up managing to avoid stepping on me and chased her out. He then came back and got himself back in the same position pulling me in with his nuzzle/nose. Again I've left out some confronting details for the respect of anyone reading this.

From that day I found somewhere safe. I slept beside that horse for the rest of that evening. He kept me safe from all evil that I was subjected too.

It was that day something in me changed. With the passion I now dedicated all the years I have in me to save horses that are put on death row, being abused or deemed dangerous.

The horses and I would appreciate any help from 50c to $10. All the support and donations will be appreciated by myself and every life I can save.

I will be taking over a property to start my business "Destiney's horse sanctuary" where rescuing, purchasing and over all taking on any horse I possibly can to save from death. I've worked with horses from sweet little riding-school ponies to abused horses. I've studied horses with ptsd, anxiety and abandonment issues. This may seem like a lot to take on, but it's been my goal in life to give any life I possibly can a second chance.

I know that in reality I won't save all horses and I do NOT discriminate against any disciplin line (racing, jumping, hacking, farm work etc) I'm not here to put the blame on any one. I just want to make a difference in anyway I can.

All money will be to fund the cost of the excess on the property, vets, farrier, teeth, Ciro (other medical/health), feed, purchasing of animal from auctions, required horse gear (rugs, suitable fitted saddles etc)
I myself will be putting in my own income/savings as well, until I reach a comfortable point to stop my second job/reduce my hours significantly.

Donations all appreciate big or small... from money, to old riding saddles, some hay etc even if it's a old grooming brush. Every little thing means millions to us.
