St Mary's Anglican Church is one of the original buildings in the beautiful township of Woodend in Victoria's Macedon Ranges. Built in 1864, this historically significant building with magnificent stained glass windows by William Montgomery, our lovely Church has been the centre of the St Mary's community for over 150 years.
The Church building is structurally sound, however, as with all old buildings the maintenance costs are significant, and right now, our floor needs replacing due to the accumulated impact over time of water damage, termite infestation and poor underfloor ventilation.
We have installed new drainage around the building so that underground water is now redirected away from the building, however we recently ran into difficulty due to complex engineering works associated with the reinstatement of the new floor. We need your help to finish the job to restore the floor of St Mary's Church and open it up once again to the community, ensuring that this beautiful church remains for generations to come.
