About

It’s been two years since the Australian Swimming team, made up of 19 swimmers competed in Ecuador at the 2015 Global Games. At the 2015 Global Games they finished 1st overall in the medal tally finishing with 13 Gold, 8 Silver & 6 Bronze, as they did at the 2011 Global Games in Liguria, 2009 Global Games in Liberec and 2004 Global Games in Sweden. The Australian Swimming team has been outstanding at all INAS conducted events.
To ensure this team of 11 athletes and staff continue to succeed against the world’s best in Mexico, they need your assistance.
Each of the Swimmers have been selected based on their performance at the Swimming Australia National Championships earlier this year and their commitment to training.
All swimmers have an intellectual impairment and through swimming and being included into clubs have made huge improvements to their lives both in and out of the pool. We are very excited to be taking such a young talented team to Mexico and have no doubt many will go onto represent Australia in other major events.
To compete swimmers are having to pay $6,500 for the right to represent Australia, which is a huge amount to raise. Many of these athletes are still at school and this provides a great burden on their families.
All donations are tax-deductible, so please support us to help the swimmers realise their dream and show their immense abilities in Mexico in November. Please don’t see this as charity – it is a way to make a real difference to another Aussie, a way to celebrate diversity.
So, hit the DONATE button now and show your support for the AUSTRALIAN SWIMMING TEAM.
Thanks for the support and welcome to the team!!!
India Biesse Fitton, Patrick Donachie, Jaime-Lee Getson, Nikesha Harding, Jack Ireland, Jade Lucy, Benjamin Morrison, Ben Stokes, Casey Stevens, Jarrod Lee and Bronte Marshall.
