At Operation Move we met Rachel through running. She was a passionate advocate for running and being inclusive and was also a Learn to Run coach and loved helping new people to find their way.
She touched so many people's lives in a myriad of ways and the for us (friends, people she coached, people she mentored, people she knew through the community) we would like to honour that in the best way we can.
Her favourite distance was 3km. And so on the weekend of the 26th-27th August we are holding a virtual run to remember Rachel. We would love it if you could also donate to her family to help them during this devastating time.
If you would like to meet up with other runners to do your 3km run for Rachel, please head over to the community group at facebook.com/groups/opmove.
After a lengthy battle with cancer, Rachel died suddenly, leaving behind her loving husband (Tim) and her three beautiful boys - Liam (13), Soren (8) and Lindsay (4).
We would like to help her family as much as we can at this tragic time.
