Base-d On a Cause is a couple of mates banding together to make a difference for people suffering from MS, Mental Health and Cancer and the ongoing research and dedicated support required to elevate the daily struggles individuals and their loved ones face. Millions of Australian’s are affected and sadly knowing someone or being directly impacted by these devastating conditions is growing. The Base-d on a Cause team personally know these struggles and look forward to reaching new heights to promote community donations. Our initial goal is to raise $60,000 but we are hoping to be flooded with generosity to surpass that target! Funds will be donated across our chosen charities MS Australia, Beyond Blue & Peter MacCallum Cancer Research Centre. Our aim is to raise minimum 20K for each charity, you can choose to donate to a specific charity or all 3. We’ll be using all the offline donations from merchandise and fundraising events to equally disburse funds to each charity group. By raising these funds we hope to increase awareness of symptoms and available support networks and most importantly contribute to innovative research to one day find a cure. OUR MISSON – In May 2018 we are going to fly to Kathmandu and complete a self funded 13 day trek across the Himalaya’s to reach Mt. Everest base camp 17,000ft above sea level!! Trekking 4-10 hours per day to reach this spectacular height, nothing compared to the physical and mental battle those suffering go through every day.
