Help make the “invisible” disability visible - Brain Injury Awareness
Over 2 years ago, I sustained a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). I am still undergoing rehab and am thankful for the wonderful support of family and friends. Please help us raise money for research and support to reduce the occurrence of TBIs and improve the outcome of those with TBIs. As my injury prevents me from being able to participate in the organised Run Melbourne event, I will attempt to walk 5kms over a few days on my treadmill. My family will be running in the event!!
Every year over 20,000 Australians are hospitalised with a TBI. One in every four are women.
Brain Injury Australia is the national peak advocacy organisation representing the needs of over 700,000 Australians with a brain injury, their families and carers. www.braininjuryaustralia.org.au
