The Rockhampton Men's Shed is constructing a community center and expanding its men shed services. There are currently limited services within the Rockhampton Men's Shed catchment area (Stockland to the The Caves) to service seniors, and families with limited transport options and limited finances. Limited family resources is seeing an increase in domestic violence, the services Rockhampton Men's Shed offer will directly support these families to alleviate the pressure of being isolated. Social Isolation is also occurring in in all parts of our community. Small not-for-profit organisations will also be able to use the facilities. This organisation aims to bridge the inter generational gap by providing services that bring the community together. In addition the benefits of better community interaction will directly see an improvement in the health and well being of the community. This project can not happen without the generous support of the community.
