A group of ACU Nursing and Midwifery students are heading over to Vanuatu Santo to the Northern Provincial Hospital from the 25th of June to the 9th of July 2017. The hospital treats the local community, however it frequently lacks in needed medical equipment and supplies. As a group, we wish to facilitate fundraising that can go towards providing the hospital with necessary equipment.
We would love to take useful and necessary items that they can use, however we cannot do it without the generosity of others. We need help raising money to buy the hospital new equipment/ supplies such as:
-Diabetes monitoring machines (Blood glucose monitors)
-Vital sign measuring devices (pulse oximetry, blood pressure manual cuffs)
-Stethoscopes
-Bedding (linen & towels)
-General medical equipment
-New/second smart phone (Lumia Windows) (The Health Information Services at Northern Provincial Hospital has wished for a Lumia Windows phone to link with services they have in HiS at NPH)
This funding will benefit the nurses, doctors and all the other allied health to provide the best care they can! And also benefit the patients they treat!
The Nursing, Midwifery and Paramedic Societies are also holding a Allied Health Ball in which we aim to do a raffle to raise more funds for the Northern Provincial Hospital. We aim to finish fundraising by the 18th of June, to enable us time to collect the medical equipment/ supplies. Please donate! THANK YOU FROM THE NURSING & MIDWIFERY STUDENTS!
