My daughters name is Tarni Stepto and she has been selected along with 15 other girls to travel to Clearwater, Florida to represent Australia, competing in the 12th ISF Junior Women's Softball World Championships (24th-30th July). Tarni is 17 years old and playing softball is what she loves and has loved ever since she was a little girl. She first discovered softball when she was five years of age and has not stopped playing since.
Due to her talent and commitment she has been picked in every Manly Representative side for her age group and has played for NSW for the last three years. She has traveled to Hawaii for the Australian schoolgirls team and has made many NSW school girls teams. My daughter is a pitcher which requires hard work, dedication, persistence, and hours and hours of training and travelling to be coached.
While it is a huge honor that she has been selected to represent her country the trip comes with a great expense and no funding of any sort. As a family we have had to pay for many trips, tournaments, uniforms, etc. I have created this fundraising page in the hope that my extended family and friends will help to raise some money towards Tarni's $10,000 fee to play for her country.
