With the formation of the Northern Beaches Council, Manly is now one of five Wards within the larger Council. There will be only three councillors elected to represent Manly electorate, out of a total of 15 for the whole peninsula at the September Council election later this year.

The disgraceful debacle that followed the Liberal dominated Manly Council pushing the seriously flawed Manly Oval Car Park and sale of the Whistler Street site to developers for apartments and shops, has now been revealed in damning independent reports by Ernst & Young and Value Network.
Local government should be local issues run by local representatives, not major political parties.
