Many of us worked with Damien Bond in the mining industry in Australia and overseas. He was a great mate and friend to many of us. Damien died in a paragliding accident, doing what he loved and being the adrenaline chasing athlete that we was, he was only 39. He leaves behind a loving partner Bec and a young daughter Eden, this cause is to support her in the future. I asked many of his friends how best to show our support for the family and rather than send many bunches of flowers, one of the more clever of the bunch (Martin) thought of this as a better way. Given we are mostly underground miners and don't really do flowers, feel free to donate as little or as much as your like. I am sure that young Eden will need the support and this can be our way of showing her how much of a great Dad and good friend he was to so many people.
