I’m in desperate need of help for my girl Bella who is now only 8 months old. I purchased her in November 16 from Dancing gate kennels not realising the woman was not a registered breeder because I had no-one to ask. 3 days after I brought her home I noticed she walked with her right hind leg turned in. I contacted the breeder she told me it was normal but I knew it wasn’t. As the weeks passed, Bella become lame in that leg and the breeder offered to get her vet to look at her. They didn’t seem to care, did one x-ray only and dumped Bella asleep on the floor in the waiting room. I was given a disc supposedly with the xrays on and when I asked what is wrong I was told nothing was wrong. 2 weeks later Bella couldn’t even walk down the street without limping and dragging her leg. I took her to my own vet as she has bad skin problems as well and is allergic to grains and wheat 1000 dollars later 4 weeks rent and last of my savings I find out her hips don’t sit in her sockets and in future will need two hips replacements done. It’s getting worse and now things are seem to be affecting her front legs. She has been on a number of antibiotics for her skin and they haven’t helped. Her legs are at the point where a few nights ago she woke me up screaming in pain because I couldn’t afford the anti-inflammatories she needs to help her. She couldn’t move at all I had to lift her with a towel to get her to stand. reason why I am asking for donations is so I can get her in to see a specialist and a dog Naturopath to see what me and my family can do if I can’t get her in I’m afraid she will get that bad I’ll have to put her to rest. Bella is an 8 month old golden retriever she is my life. Please don’t judge me because I made a mistake and didn’t have anyone to help me. I love my dog and some good people have been helping me but they don’t have the money to give Bella the chance she needs. I can not put Bella to sleep because I can’t afford to treat her, that isn’t right, she deserves to have a life and it’s not my fault I was so badly lied to. All Bella’s medical history is available to anyone who thinks they would like to help but would like to see what’s going on. I absolutely guarantee that any help will be used towards vets and a specialist etc. If you are able to help in any way at all, my children and I will be extremely grateful and I would love to share Bella’s recovery story with you.
