On June 6, 2014 at 38 weeks pregnant Simone & Marty Tonkin delivered their sweet baby boy Nixon Martin Tonkin, he is their first baby. As they listened and waited with baited breath & excitement to hear those glorious little lungs bellow hello, I'm here, safe, healthy & well - the silence would have been deafening. Though sweet Nixon did take a breath, he heartbreakingly made a very hasty transition to become an Angel Baby. He should be here today - almost about to turn 3, instead a fortnight ago Simone & Marty sat through every parents worst nightmare - the Coronial Inquest into Nixon's death. This Campaign is a way of helping them have the time with their 2nd Gorgeous little boy Knox without so much stress and worry. 3 years of PTSD, Anxiety & Depression has made it almost impossible for Simone to function - but she is functioning - just - working part time, raising a toddler and fighting the barrage of anxiety, flashbacks and nightmares; supported nobly by her also grieving, wonderful husband Marty. They really could do with a hand and that is where we can help (because they would NEVER ask) - my wish for them is to be able to relax a little, for life to be a little less stressful, to spend more time together as a couple and as a family, to plan for their future, to holiday, attend therapy, spend a week in bed, whatever it may be, to do it without worrying about money.
