Young mother Arzu (Karakoc) Baglar, 35 from Moonee Ponds, was just a few kilometres from home when a truck struck her in Yarraville on Friday afternoon.
Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives believe the truck struck Arzu as it turned left into Somerville Rd from Whitehall St at 5.40pm.
She died at the scene.
The mum of two young girls killed in the heartbreaking tragedy was adored by all who knew her.
Arzu - whose eldest daughter is aged six and youngest turned two just two days earlier — was a year off graduating as a legal prosecutor.
Her devastated husband, Tuncer, said the couple had been inseparable since being married almost 15 years ago.
“She was so loved — she was loved by everyone,’’ he said.
“She was my loving partner — I loved her more than myself.
