My name is Ava, I am 10 years old and I am raising money to support the Luke Batty Foundation to combat domestic violence. The reason why I started raising money was because I saw a documentary on television about domestic violence. It made me feel sad and I got inspired to do something about it. I went online and I found out about the Luke Batty Foundation and I sent an email to Rosie Batty telling her why I am so passsonate about this cause and that I wanted to help out in every way that I could. I received a letter of support which meant that I could officially start fundraising. Together with my grandma Annie, we bought a receipt book and a money tin. Then we started fundraising amongst my family and friends. I then wanted to be able to reach more people. A family friend helped me set up this page so that people can donate online as well. Thank you to everyone who has supported me. It means a lot to me, the Luke Batty Foundation, and anyone affected by Domestic Violence. Please continue to donate generously :)
