In stark contrast to the growth of the extreme right in Australian politics, there is a swell of community support for a progressive left vision where people and the planet come before profit, the billions before the billionaires.
Socialist Alliance provides that vision. We strive for people-powered decision making rather than a society governed by corporate interests and government agendas.
Our party is anti-capitalist, pro public ownership of resources and community services, pro environmentalist, anti-racist and a defender of workers and human rights – including those of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders, women, refugees, the LGBTI community and people living with disability.
All Socialist Alliance WA candidates selected to contest the coming state election are actively involved in the campaign to stop the environmentally and socially destructive Roe 8 and to save the precious Beeliar Wetlands. They are also passionate activists at the forefront of various other grass roots campaigns aimed at creating a society that puts people and the planet ahead of the big corporations.
Our candidates are Corina Abraham (Willagee), Chris Jenkins (Fremantle), Petrina Harley & Sam Wainwright (South Metropolitan).
We are a dedicated team of volunteers but we need fliers and posters to distribute. Any donations, no matter how small, towards the material costs of us getting our message out to people, will be gratefully received.
Socialist Alliance WA is a registered political party.
