Safari for Change

Hi everyone,

I am raising some money for the crew at Imvelo Safari Lodges, based in Zimbabwe, to support the awesome work that they do!

Imvelo own a whole bunch of lodges in Zimbabwe, with strong historical connections to the areas, and they do really great work in the community and for wildlife - getting out there and changing some lives!

For example:
•Access to clean water is a pretty obvious issue in much of Africa, so Imvelo assist in drilling and maintain boreholes to provide safe and potable water for families;
•Having access to water in the dry months is also super important for the local wildlife, and Imvelo maintain 13 of these, benefiting nearly 25% of the wildlife in the Hwange area;
•Ensuring access to equipment and supplies for rural health clinics;
-Providing teachers and schools with support and resources in order for them to educate local children, giving them hope for a better future; and
•The physical demands on rural African women are harsh – especially when pregnant! Imvelo hope to open a number of shelters that will make a visit to the clinic, for check-up or delivery, less traumatic for everyone.

I have been given the unique opportunity to see these projects in action, and assist Imvelo Lodges and Bench International, by raising much needed funds for these projects.

Next May I will be embarking on an eight day tour of Zimbabwe, where I will be lucky enough to visit the Mlevu Junior School and to see exactly how these funds are being used.
