Tyler and Ruby Ratcliffe Support Fund

On the 13th October, Crystal Ratcliffe was brutally murdered by her long term partner and father of her two children. It has been alleged that he stabbed her multiple times before turning the knife on himself and calling police. Paramedics revived him twice on scene before being transported to hospital in a critical condition. He is now expected to live and has been charged with her murder. He has also been charged with assault of a nurse that was trying to prevent him from removing his IV lines.

The absolute tragedy in this case is the two young children left behind Tyler 16, and Ruby 13. They now face an uncertain future financialy, and have to deal with the mental anguish of the circumstances surrounding how their mother was murdered.

Tyler is a talented rugby league player. He plays for Cairns Kangaroos, has made several representative sides, and has been a part of the Northern Pride academy squads.

Crystal absolutely adored her children and in her memory we have sent up a fundraising page through the My Cause website to try and secure somewhat the kids immediate financial needs.

We have had a great deal of support from the Cairns community but need more to put Domestic Violence once again in the forefront of people's minds and to help these kids.
