Spartan Racers and friends will be doing 1km of lunges (i.e. covering 1000m by doing lunges) either as individuals or in teams of up to 3 in parks around the country on 18th September.
Why Lunges? because Life will sometimes force us to our knees, and it is up to us to find the strength and courage to stand again, not just for ourselves, but because you never know who you might inspire to do the same. This is just a small way we can let those affected by domestic violence and youth homelessness know that they are not alone.
The goal is to raise funds and awareness for White Ribbon, a charity dedicated to supporting victims of domestic violence, as well as supporting The Unite Project in their fight against youth homelessness.
These two issues are closely linked as domestic violence is a major cause of youth homelessness, we hope you will join us in a show of solidarity and to raise much needed funds, one lunge at a time.
