Eastern Suburbs Rugby Club has a proud tradition in the ACT Rugby competition but we have been doing it tough in the past few years. In fact, next year will be 70 years since we last won a 1st Grade premiership. Our club was formed in 1938 and has produced a number of Wallabies (most notably George Gregan) and has been home to a number ACT Brumbies Players (Clyde Rathbone and Stephen Moore among the most prominent). Our supporters are loyal, our sponsors have been generous but they desperately want to see Easts survive and become a competitive force again. Money we raise will go into buying much needed equipment for the Club, which will hopefully help us to attract new talent to the Club. Easts is a community Rugby organisation and is the home of Rugby in Canberra's inner South. It is an established part of this community and provides a physical and social outlet for young men (and hopefully women in 2017) who wish to play a competitive sport. We currently field 4 mens teams and would love to include a Women's team in 2017. ACT Rugby needs Easts to survive. Please get behind our cause and help Easts Rugby to be great again! Any donation, large or small will be received with gratitude. If you are a business and would like to donate, please contact me so we can discuss how we maybe able to help promote your business next season.
Cheers from Easts' friendly neighbourhood Punters Club
