Hey everyone, on February 26th, 2017 I'll be departing Melbourne in an attempt to ride my bike unsupported around Australia for the Foundation FightMND.
My motivation for this ride is my friend Saverio who's father John passed away in 2014 after battling the sickness for a 3 years prior to his passing.
For those of you who don't know what Motor Neuron Disease is here is a summary of what it does to the human body:
Motor neurone disease (MND) is the name given to a group of diseases in which the nerve cells (neurones) controlling the muscles that enable us to move, speak, breathe and swallow undergo degeneration and die.
Absolutely any donations made are going to a very honourable cause. I will be doing everything I can by riding around the country, and raising awareness about the issue to people along the way.
For those of you who know Saverio and his family they are very welcoming and humble people and for me to do something such as this while showing support is great.
