4 year old Dwight Wenban is fighting a battle against a rare childhood cancer, Embryonal Rhabdomyosarcoma.
Whilst most children see firefighters as superheroes, Dwight is our little superhero! We might put the wet stuff on the red stuff, but Dwight is the real hero here fighting a much bigger battle.
5 weeks of radiation each day Monday to Friday. Plus all the chemotherapy. It is going to be a long 40 weeks for this little superhero.
So what better than for us firies to shave our heads to raise funds to help Dwight and his family with medical, travel and living costs. The last thing a parent needs to do is stress about working and financial burdens, when their child needs them at this time.
The shave will take place on Sunday, 12th June 2016.
When a child is fighting cancer, they need to know they're not alone... They need to know they have a team fighting with them and for them. Well Dwight - you have a whole fire brigade fighting for you.
