How cancer can interrupt your life.
Vanessa had been working as a teacher for 2 years when she was diagnosed with breast cancer. The decision was made to undergo an operation to remove the lump. This was done and things were looking positive. However after a few months she collapsed one day after feeling poorly and was taken to hospital where the doctors did tests and changed medications.
Vanessa had to stop teaching and over the following 12 months Vanessa was back in hospital several times. Today after a further scan it is now confirmed the cancer is back.
The medicines are expensive to buy and are needed every three days until the cancer goes which could be weeks or months away.
Vanessa needs help to pay for the medicines and the stay in hospital
We ask for a small pledge of just $3 from each of us to help buy medicines that will help fight the cancer and continue to provide treatment for cancer patients.
