Throughout the remainder of 2016, I am aiming to raise enough funds to sponsor a dog for The Young Diggers Dog Squad. I am going to do this through a variety of fundraising activities and events. Each Dog costs $2,500 to rescue and train over a two year period. Please support our activities or make a donation today.
About the Dog Squad The Defence Bank Foundation, in partnership with the Young Diggers Dog Squad, is providing a unique program. The Young Diggers Dog Squad is training rescued dogs to become Assistance Dogs to support the rehabilitation of our serving and ex-serving Australian Defence Force members who are dealing with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD). This program is helping more than just the individuals. The Dog Squad helps Defence families to better cope with the effects of PTSD and saves the lives of abandoned dogs. The Dog Squad is run entirely by the volunteers at Young Diggers and they need people like you to Donate or Sponsor a Dog to continue running the program. Please visit http://www.youngdiggers.com.au/ to find out further information.
The Defence Bank Foundation proudly supports The Defence Community Dogs (DCD) program which trains Dogs to Assistance dog level to provide support to serving and ex-serving Defence members to help them better manage injuries and illnesses including Post-traumatic Stress Disorders (PTSD).
