To help celebrate IDM 2016, the Australian College of Midwives is organising a Walk With Midwives on 5 May 2016.
Across Australia, midwives and consumers will Walk With Midwives to raise money for the Rhodanthe Lipsett Indigenous Midwifery Trust.
The Trust was formed to provide financial assistance to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander midwifery students. The Trust aims to raise at least $1 million to enable annual scholarships to be paid.
Funds raised will help to improve the birth and early parenting outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander families by supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women to become midwives.

My Cause Gift Fund for Rhodanthe Lipsett Indigenous Midwifery Charitable Fund
Funds donated to the My cause Gift Fund will be disbursed to Rhodanthe Lipsett Indigenous Midwifery Trust. The trustees will always disburse funds to the nominated cause, however in the case that that is not possible, the funds will be disbursed to a DGR charity at the trustees discretion.
