Retinitis Pigmentosa (RP) is a genetic eye condition that causes cells in the light-sensitive retina, located at the back of the eye, to degenerate slowly and progressively. The condition can vary greatly. While many people with RP retain limited vision throughout their lives, others will lose their sight completely.
Lulu has no night vision, no peripheral vision and less than 10 degrees of central vision remaining.
This past year Lulu's condition has proven stable however, there is no time limit on how much longer her sight will remain stable or when & if she will lose her sight completely!
We have helped Lulu create a bucket list which we are ticking off one thing at a time as we can afford to so that she doesn't miss any experiences of adventures she would like to complete before she possibly loses her eye-sight completely in the future.
This fundraiser is to help us fulfill some of the bigger items listed on her list!
