Help Patrick Lawson on his quest to help others. Following his diagnosis of severe depression and anxiety in Feb 2015, Patrick has come through a very dark period in his life by finding satisfaction in raising awareness for suicide prevention and helping others. Patrick realised very quickly how hard it is to reach out and and use the 3 words... I Need Help. Patrick started a Facebook page "3 Words. I Need Help" as a support network for fellow depression and mental health suffers and their support people. The page received a great response, members helping to reach out to each other by sharing stories, feelings and create a network with no stigma attached, a safe place. The 3 words page is now being followed internationally by over 2500 people. The page attracted the attention of American film maker and author Kevin Hines and Patrick has been selected to assist with an Australian film project to raise suicide prevention and mental health awareness on a greater level.
Patrick has now been invited to attend a mental health conference in America in March 2016. As all the work that he has put into his projects so far has been self funded he needs your help in funding this fantastic opportunity to attend and network amongst some of the finest international mental health advocates. Patrick aims to bring home some new experiences, skills and strategies to assist his goals of raising much needed awareness to the rural communities in Australia throughout 2016 and beyond.

January 1989 - 27 years ago I lost my older brother to a tragic suicide he was 36, he left behind a wife & 2 young kids & his close family who morn his loss till this day, we ask ourselves why, what could we have done to make him stay just one more day, to get the help he desperately needed May God rest his sole, we pray that his pain has ended, but ours still remains. Thank you Patrick for what you are doing, for your strength & courage to keep going, go on for my Garry & for all of us who have the Black Dog at our heals.
