About

On Sunday the 17th January there will be a Charity Coastal walk in Aid of The Cormac Trust. The walk will start at Bondi Beach and finished at Coogee beach, Followed by a BBQ. There will also be literature on The Cormac Trust and Sudden Cardiac Death provided to all participants.

Our aim is to raise money for the trust to continue its vital role in providing education and raising awareness to young people about Sudden Cardiac Death and the importance of cardiac screenings.

Since The Cormac Trust established in March 2005, the Trust has provided 54 AEDs (Automated external defibrillators) for sports clubs and has trained 350 people in their use and in CPR resuscitation. This training has proved to be vital in saving young people's lives. For example In August 2014 Derry GAA player Kevin Mc Cloy, 35, was playing for his Club Lavey. Ten minutes into the game Kevin collapsed and fell to the ground, he lost his pulse and with the help of a defibrillator and trained users he was revived. Kevin is now an ambassador for The Cormac Trust.

We would be very grateful for all donations made to this great cause, all proceeds go towards the Cormac trust.
