Despite having no gear and no idea, I've decided to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania over the New Year's break. I figured it's a good opportunity to try and do a good deed for once, and raise some money for a worthwhile cause!
My Grandad, Merv, has had Parkinson's for over twenty years, so we've seen the effects that it can have on individuals and their families. Parkinson's QLD are a non-profit located in Brisbane, who provide support to those living with Parkinson's and also play an advocacy role throughout the community. They can always use the help!
So instead of wasting your money on Christmas presents for your significant other or your kids that you don't even like, why not give a little of that cream to a good cause!
If I raise enough money I might even do a naked selfie on the summit ... ;)
Funds donated to the My cause Gift Fund will be disbursed to Parkinson's Queensland. The trustees will always disburse funds to the nominated cause, however in the case that that is not possible, the funds will be disbursed to a DGR charity at the trustees discretion.
