I've created this page in order to try and establish some funds to help repair my dads car. I've poured a little bit of money into repairing it already and I am slowly running out of resources to fund replacing parts.
At this stage we don't know how much time we have left with him but what I do know is I want to be able to deliver the car to him so he can once more enjoy the car he loved so much.

The car is a Porsche 911 sc, around 15 years ago the car caught on fire whilst he was driving and before being able to put the fire out it sustained a huge amount of damage. He has held onto it for so many years and many a time I have told him to just sell it and get rid of it but he kept it, i think in hope that one day he would repair it but has never gotten around to it.

My father came to Australia when he was 3. The son of an Irish catholic and the Scottish prodestant. They migrated here to glenroy where he grew up learning to survive by earning a dollar selling cars here and there. Over the years his owned many cars from Lamborghinis to Monaros but when he had children of his own he gave all the nice cars away to support his kids and family. Later in life when us children became older he held onto one car and one car only and that was the 1982 Porsche SC. This was.. besides his family , his pride and joy. Our family at a stage went through a separationwhich i feel weighed very heavily on thim and hence why i believe that when it had become damaged he found it so hard to part with and held onto it for so long amongst other things.

A few days after we found out about his diagnosis he mentioned he wanted to give me the car and move it to my garage. So he did. The day it arrived i got to work, in my mind knowing straight away that i wanted to get this up and roaring again for him.
I've been pretty hard at it just about everyday since it has arrived and I have created a blog so anyone who is interested can see the progress I have made and what I do when I am 100% focused on something wen I pour my heart into it.
I have set the goal at around 10,000 to get it on the road and I think this is achievable, but having a small family does take its tolls financially especially at the moment drowning in bills and childcare fees which is why I'm reaching out to get this goal done!
