Mats' shave for Kaden

As some of you would have heard, some close friends have run into some terrible luck lately. Kaden McDevitt, son of Finn and Lee, has recently been diagnosed with liver cancer and is currently undergoing treatment to fight this evil disease, Kaden is only 7.

No one deserves this let alone an innocent child, but as life does all too often, it throws a curveball and all we can do is try and deal with it the best we can. I can only begin to imagine how stressful a time like this would be, so to assist them along the next step in their journey, I’m hoping to raise some money to relieve some the financial burden that a situation like this will bring.

Which brings me to my question, have you ever been told you have a weird shaped head? I have, often! As most would have seen, over the past few years I’ve been growing some pretty luscious locks on top of my giant alien skull, I’ve been told I look ridiculous (mainly from my bosses at work) but those people obviously have seen my head with no hair, it really is an odd shape. So I couldn’t think of a better reason to say goodbye to the locks and unleash my mega melon than to raise some money for Kadens' cause.

The actual shave will be taking place on Wednesday May 27th, which is my crews shift change. That is when ill hand the clippers over to some very untalented (and most likely highly intoxicated) wannabe hairdressers. AND! If we can reach my target of $4000, I’m going to allow the boys free reign to create whatever ridiculous haircut they desire, which I will then proceed to keep for the next week before I go the full shave.
