My name is Mel McDonald, I am 40 years old and my greatest achievement is bringing my 3 beautiful children into the world. This year I needed to do something more. Mid 2014 I attended a funeral that touched my soul more than anything ever had, a dear friend of mine and her husband had to say goodbye to their precious twins, born sleeping. The funeral was honestly the saddest yet sweetest thing I have ever been apart of. In the following months my friend Nicole shared some photos that were taken by a Heartfelt photographer, such beautiful photos and priceless really. Then in December 2014, another friend and her partner were faced with the same sadness, their baby girl born sleeping had too grown her angel wings. Heartfelt again provided some beautiful photographic memories for them.
So this year I am participating in 2 events. The first being the CitiLink Run for the Kids it is 15.5 km's on March 22 then The Age Run Melbourne which is 10 km on July 26
I will be running both of these to honour 3 little Angel Babies taken too soon, Jaron & Mahlia, and Harlow. All the money I raise will go directly to Heartfelt - giving the gift of photographic memories.
