Our dear friend Dr Niki Cole was in a tragic accident on Friday 19th December. While leaving the local shops on Friday afternoon she was hit by a reversing car and run over along with two other elderly pedestrians. Niki was taken to hospital in a serious condition and has suffered a broken arm, spinal fractures, a bruised lung and a severe forehead laceration.
Dr Niki is a chiropractor and has her own business in Newcastle. She has just returned from maternity leave and is the primary practitioner while her loving husband has taken on the dedicated role of stay-at-home dad for their two beautiful young children. The impact this accident will have on this young family is yet to be fully realised and their primary focus is to bring Niki home as soon as possible to hopefully be with her children for Christmas and start her road to recovery.
For those of you who know the role of a chiropractor you would understand the ramifications of these sort of injuries not only on her and her family personally but also on her business and career in the long term. She is a strong woman and very dedicated to the amazing natural healing power of the human body. She will be drawing on all of her strength and from the strength and positive beliefs of those around her to heal as quickly and effectively as possible. This recovery is believed to still take months.
To show your support and to help empower her to a speedy recovery we are asking you for a donation to ensure that any immediate stresses this family experience may be alleviated in some small way so that all their energy may be given to the healing process. We thank you on behalf of the Cole family for your generosity, prayers and well wishes and may we all be able to draw on the strength from within to heal our own body but also the strength from within the wider community when facing adversity.
We send you and your families best wishes for this holiday season and thank you all for your care and support for our friends. Be well, Nikki & Tony Rudd
